Olives Sleep’s way
At Olive Sleep, we know that restful sleep is the cornerstone of your family’s well-being. For new parents, lack of sleep impacts not only your physical and mental health, but also your ability to fully connect with your baby and with each other.
That’s why our approach combines evidence-based knowledge with compassionate, personalized care. We educate parents on healthy sleep foundations and gentle progressions, while offering overnight support that ensures your baby is safe — and you can finally rest with confidence and peace of mind.
Beyond sleep itself, our meta-parenting sessions and goal setting help establish lasting routines and rhythms for the whole family. When parents are well-rested, they can nurture their baby with clarity, engage in meaningful relationships, and reclaim time for the practices that sustain them — from social connection to movement, nourishment, and personal wellness.
Olive Sleep is here to guide families in creating not just better nights, but a healthier, more balanced foundation for years to come.
Hi, I’m Cinthia Durán — founder of Olive Sleep.
For more than a decade, I have supported families as a Nanny, Newborn Care Specialist, Parent Coach, and Pediatric Sleep Consultant. My work has taken me from Houston to the Bay Area, guiding parents through the earliest — and often most overwhelming — stages of raising a child.
With a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Houston Downtown, I bring both academic insight and hands-on expertise. My early career as a professional and traveling nanny gave me a unique opportunity: to observe and apply the very principles of child psychology and contemporary parenting I was studying, and to develop my own holistic approach to overnight newborn care.
Over the years, I have expanded my training through the Newborn Training Academy and the Center for Pediatric Sleep Management, with certifications in newborn care, sleep consulting, multiples, premature infants, and critical care cases. This breadth of experience allows me to confidently support families with diverse needs, from first-time parents to those navigating more complex newborn journeys.
I am deeply passionate about healthy, balanced parenting, multicultural child-rearing practices, and the intersection of newborn development and family mental health. My work is informed by a commitment to both science and empathy. In addition to professional care, I have volunteered in child bereavement and pregnancy loss support — experiences that have strengthened my belief in meeting each family with compassion, respect, and understanding.
At Olive Sleep, my goal is simple yet profound: to give families the clarity, rest, and peace of mind they need to thrive during the newborn stage and beyond.
